At Nifty Fixes North East, we take great pride in our workmanship and the quality of the products we supply. We provide a comprehensive 12-month warranty on all products supplied by us and our installation services, effective from the date of completion.

We guarantee our workmanship. Our warranty covers both product defects and any issues related to our installation, ensuring that if something goes wrong, we’ll make it right. *Exclusions apply

What is Covered?

  • Product Failure: We cover mechanical or manufacturing defects in products installed (e.g., locks, handles, door closers) that fail under normal, everyday use, provided the products were supplied by Nifty Fixes NE Ltd.
  • Workmanship: Any defects arising directly from our installation services (e.g., components becoming loose, misaligned, or inoperable due to fitting) will be addressed free of charge.
  • Manufacturer Compliance: Manufacturing defects are covered provided that the manufacturer’s usage, weight limits, and service instructions have been strictly followed.

 

Transferability & Eligibility

  • Personal Guarantee: This warranty is granted exclusively to the original customer named on the invoice.

 

  • Non-Transferable: This guarantee is personal to the customer and does not transfer to any subsequent owners, tenants, or occupiers. If the property is sold or a tenancy agreement ends, the warranty expires immediately.

What is NOT Covered

  • Third-Party Products: Any product or component not originally supplied and invoiced by Nifty Fixes NE Ltd.

 

  • Misuse or Abuse: Damage resulting from improper use, neglect, or vandalism (e.g., forcing a lock, slamming a door, or hanging items from handles).

 

  • Normal Wear and Tear: Natural degradation, cosmetic fading, or minor scratches that do not impede the functional operation of the product.

 

  • Accidental Damage: Damage caused by forceful impacts, accidents, or external interference.

 

  • Unauthorised Work: Issues arising from repairs, modifications, or adjustments performed by any party other than Nifty Fixes NE Ltd.

 

  • External Factors: Damage resulting from “Acts of God” (e.g., flooding, extreme weather), fire, or civil unrest.

 

  • Consumables: Batteries, lubricants, and the loss or theft of keys.

 

Making a Claim

To initiate a claim, please contact Nifty Fixes North East in writing or via email. You must provide:

  1. Date of installation.
  2. Invoice number (or valid proof of purchase).
  3. Detailed description and/or photographs of the fault.

 

Note on Service Charges: If a technician is dispatched and the fault is found to be outside the scope of this warranty (e.g., user error, accidental damage, or a third-party product), a non-warranty service charge of £60 will be payable immediately.

 

Statutory Rights

This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 regarding goods and services.
