We offer a comprehensive 12-month warranty on all products and installation services, effective from the date of completion. This warranty specifically covers any manufacturing defects, as long as the manufacturers usage and service instructions have been followed, in the products we install and any issues related to our workmanship.

What is Covered?

  • Product Failure: We will cover any mechanical or manufacturing defects in the installed products (e.g., locks, handles, door closers) that may cause them to fail under normal, everyday use that are provided by Nifty Fixes NE Ltd.

 

  • Installation Issues: Any defects arising from our workmanship related to the installation of the components, which may cause them to become loose, misaligned, or inoperable, will be addressed free of charge.

What is NOT Covered

  • Misuse or Abuse: Damage resulting from improper use, intentional abuse, neglect, or vandalism. This includes forcing a lock, slamming a door, or using the product in a way it was not designed for.

 

  • Normal Wear and Tear: This includes the natural wear, cosmetic damage, or minor scratches that do not affect the functionality of the product over time.

 

  • Accidental Damage: Damage caused by accidents, such as forceful impacts to the door or component.

 

  • Third-Party Work: Any issues or failures that arise from repairs, modifications, or maintenance performed by other parties.

 

  • Acts Beyond Our Control: Damage resulting from events outside of our control, including but not limited to, natural occurrences, “Acts of God” (e.g., floods, earthquakes, extreme weather), fire, or civil unrest.

 

  • Unsuitable Environment: Damage caused by exposure to extreme temperatures, corrosive substances, or other environmental conditions for which the product was not rated.

 

  • Consumables & Loss of Keys: This warranty does not extend to consumables such as batteries or keys, nor does it cover the loss or theft of any keys.

 

  • Non-Warranty Service Charge: If we are called out to an issue that is not covered under this warranty, a call-out charge of £60 will be applied.

Making a Claim

To initiate a warranty claim, please contact Nifty Fixes North East in writing or via email. Please include the date of installation, your invoice number, and a detailed description of the issue. We will review your claim promptly and, at our discretion, either repair or replace the defective product or re-perform the installation services.
