Accessible plugs, leads, casings and obvious conditions are checked as part of the agreed process.
Electrical tests
Appropriate tests are selected for the equipment class and circumstances.
Labels and records
Results are identified in a practical format for the agreed site or portfolio.
Who commonly requests it
Landlords, offices, small businesses and managed accommodation
- Independent landlords and furnished rental accommodation
- Small offices, shops and workplaces
- Letting or managing agents coordinating property inventories
- Managed properties and small portfolios
- Businesses needing an organised record of portable-equipment checks
What we need before pricing
Appliance numbers and access determine the practical scope
A universal annual testing rule is not assumed. The appropriate maintenance and inspection approach depends on equipment, use, environment, risk and the dutyholder’s arrangements.
- Approximate appliance quantity and equipment types
- Site address, opening hours and access contact
- Whether equipment can be unplugged and made available
- Any specialist, fixed, high-current or inaccessible equipment
- Required report fields, labels or asset references
Boundaries and follow-on work
PAT is not a fixed-wiring inspection
The service does not replace an EICR, fixed-installation inspection, appliance repair or manufacturer service. Defects, inaccessible equipment and recommended follow-on work are recorded and priced separately where appropriate.
