Perimeter Preparation: The installation began with the precise cutting and securing of carpet grippers (tacking strips) along all walls and edges of the room, leaving a small gap for tucking the carpet. This foundational step is essential for maintaining proper carpet tension.
Carpet Placement: The new carpet was rolled out and roughly positioned, allowing for overlap at all edges.
Tensioning and Smoothing: A professional carpet stretcher was systematically used across the room. Starting from one end, the carpet was stretched toward the opposite wall and secured onto the grippers. This process was repeated until the carpet was uniformly taut across the entire surface, ensuring a flat, wrinkle-free, and professional installation.
Finishing: Excess carpet was trimmed and the edges were neatly tucked between the gripper and the wall (or under skirting boards/trims) to complete the seamless finish.
